| | Business Problem: | Siebel is the cornerstone enterprise application for the customer (marketing, sales, sales support, customer service, field service, manufacturing and internal help desk). The customer recognized that they were highly leveraged within the system and that their implementation was customized extensively with minimal documentation. Of paramount importance to the customer was the delivery of a quality, scalable, sustainable system with uninterrupted business continuity. In addition to the upgrade of Siebel, the customer was also in the process of performing a new implementation of Oracle's eBusiness Suite as their ERP system. With this in mind, the Siebel upgrade project had to run smoothly and without distraction so that the internal resources could maintain their focus on the ERP implementation. The ongoing ERP implementation also dictated that the Siebel upgrade had to be completed prior to the ERP rollout so that the customer could leverage the enhanced integration capabilities between Siebel and the Oracle eBusiness Suite.
