| | Business Problem: | For the client, staying current with their enterprise applications is a key business focus. However in a slow economy being efficient and cost effective was also important. Their goal was to be able to meet all of these objectives by utilizing their internal resources with minimal staff augmentation.
The customer also recognized that they had significantly customized their Siebel application and that these customizations were impacting their ability to stay current with their Siebel implementation without breaking the bank. As such, in conjunction with the technical aspects of the upgrade, the business owners also sought to realign their business processes so that they could reduce the number of customizations and lower their long-term total cost of ownership by moving back to out-of-the-box functionality to the maximum extent possible.
